Ronald McDonald House, Glasgow is an amazing charity that provide free accommodation for families with critically ill children that are staying in the Royal Hospital for Children. They offer a 'home away from home' right on the hospitals doorstep, which allows parents to remain close to their critically ill child without having to travel long distances.
Many people are not aware of the fact that Ronald McDonald House, Glasgow do not receive any corporate funding from McDonalds. So when you put your spare change into the perspex 'Ronald McDonald House Charities' boxes, unfortunately the Glasgow House do not benefit from these donations. It costs within the region of £660,000 per year to run, so they truly value any support in keeping the house running.
The charity is very close to our hearts at Hampton & McMurray, so we want to help raise awareness about how much they help families in their time of need.
We have donated a Large Sofa and Sofa Bed to the house, and with the help of our lovely customers at both Hunter Furnishing and Hampton & McMurray we have raised a total of £791 for the charity in 2018. We would like to say a massive thank you to our customers for their donations over the past year! They are going to such an amazing cause.
